Cymru Pennsylvania Connections Association
Cymru and Pennsylvania Connections Association (CAPCA) promotes the relationship between the people of Cymru and Pennsylvania and their shared culture and ancestry. With the first migration from Wales to America in the 16th Century, successive movements of people, skills and industry to the region of Pennsylvania, USA have created a strong link between both countries.
CAPCA will link communities through cultural events, heritage and business opportunities. It will support individuals in discovering their Welsh ancestry and celebrate the pioneering Welsh people from Cymru, connecting their decendants with communities in Cymru.
Did you know?
at least five of the signatories of the Declaration of Independence were Welsh or of Welsh descent. At least eight US Presidents have Welsh ancestry including Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, John Adams and John Quincy Jones.
